W.B. Employee Recognized for Giving Back Steve Cava, a 1995 graduate of Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades was named Young Alumnus of the Year by the Board of Trustees. This award is based on Steve's dedication and contributions to his alma mater. Steve served as Alumni Association President and was a member of the Board of Trustees in 2003. He developed, maintained and administered the Association's website, and used his trade knowledge as a member of Williamson's Carpentry Shop Advisory Committee and Enrollments Committee. This past fall Steve spoke to the student body on the importance of "Giving Back to Williamson" Steve joined W.B. Homes, Inc. in 2005, as a project coordinator, responsible for work orders for homes under construction, bidding out work, awarding contracts and interfacing with buyers. In 2007, he was promoted to Director of Purchasing, Estimating and Special Projects, responsible for managing all costs, price increases, vendor relations and serving as system administrator for the new purchase order system, Builder MT. Congratulations to Steve on a job well done!!! |
