How to Utilize W.B.’s Design Dashboard

Making the Home Buying Process Easier

As your trusted hometown homebuilder, we understand the process of buying a new construction home better than anybody. There are many factors that play into the decision-making process and how exciting, but intimidating, it can be to design your dream home. To help to make things more fun, we have a few tricks up our sleeves! This blog is intended to be a “handbook” of sorts to using what we call the “Interactive Design Dashboard”. These digital tools are here to create a smooth and enjoyable homebuying process. These are in the form of our Interactive Floorplans (IFPs), Interactive Sitemaps, 3D Model Home tours, Exterior and Kitchen Visualizers, and our photo galleries. Not to mention our YouTube channel, which hosts a plethora of model home walkthrough videos! We’ll go into each of these with great detail and screen recordings to show the power of these tools.

Where can I find this so called “W.B. Design Dashboard”

The dashboard in question can be found on all our neighborhood pages, on this very website! Any neighborhood page you choose to go into has a host of digital assets attached to it. Whether you’re looking for a specific floor plan, a specific neighborhood or location, there is a tool to aid you in your decision to buy a new construction home. As we develop and build these homes, we do our best to capture these homes to help our buyers get a visual of what their new home could look like. But what can you do if that’s not available? Well, let’s get right into it! With the videos below, we’ll teach you step-by-step how to get to these webpages, how to properly utilize them, and best use cases for them. First, we’ll take a look at how to find a neighborhood’s interactive site map, what information is available, and how you can find our IFPs from the sitemap.

Cool, huh? This is best for you when you find a homesite that sparks interest, and you want to get right into customizing it to your desires. Next, we’ll see how we can go from our website, right to an IFP.

Now that we’re both familiar with how to get there, let’s get right into customizing our very own floorplan.

With these IFPs, it allows you to use them to get an idea of the homes we build, as well as the options, exterior and kitchen visualizers, and much more. The idea of it is to assist any homebuyer walking into their first private appointment with our Community Sales Manager, prepared and armed with information they previously did not have.

Our other digital asset that is helpful is our 3D tours. This is a cool tool that allows you to visualize what one of these homes looks like furnished and complete. It also lets you jump from point to point and gives a full 360 degree look at the home, we’ll go over it in the video below.

That’s Great! But what can I do with this Information?

To recap, what are these Interactive Design Dashboard tools used for? They’re intended to help you navigate the process of buying a new construction home and design your home virtually. Using these tools can also help save time during your private appointment as your Community Sales Manager can dedicate more time to the vision you have already started bringing your vision to life. These assets are very informative but honestly also a lot of fun. I sometimes find myself playing around with them when I’m bored at work! (Don’t tell that to my boss though, 😉) Happy designing!
